David PerryWith over 2 decades of radio experience under his belt, David loves nothing more than getting behind the mic for a chat about the talking points of the day, to have a bit of fun and play some great music.
David is married to Jo and is usually busy tidying up after their 4 young children. Their roles are often reversed as David is a keen cook but shies away from anything involving a hammer! David enjoys running and can often be found jogging with his ipod keeping him company.
David has a passion for theatre, but not just watching shows (oh no he doesn’t!) He is also a pantomime veteran and has starred in many pantomimes alongside various stars from Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, The Carry On Films and of course Keith Harris and Orville!
Music has always been one of David’s big loves. The first concert he went to was to see Madness at the age of 13. After being disappointed by the cost of a souvenir T-shirt, David decided to show his artistic flare and went home to make his own version, though his Mum still hasn’t forgiven him for cutting up her favourite tablecloth in the process!
We asked David a few quick questions...
First records bought: Album – Abba Greatest Hits Vol 2, Single - Adam and the Ants Stand and Deliver... I’ve always had quite a wide taste.
Favourite musical artists: So many to mention – Stevie Wonder is always great. In the 80’s I was a huge fan of Spandau Ballet, I always enjoy a bit of George Michael and at the moment loving Michael Buble and Take That.
Favourite interview guest: Really enjoyed chatting to Will Young and the legendary David Essex.
Favourite thing to cook: I love Italian and quite fancy myself as a bit of a Jamie Oliver.
